Cleaning products
Try to clean your earmolds/shell/domes every time you remove them out of
your ears. Wipe them with a soft, dry cloth (or tissue). Always check the
opening of the ear mold/ ear shell/dome to be sure it is not clogged with
earwax. A clogged opening will prevent sound from reaching your ear.
Disinfect the hearing aid or earmold surface with a non-alcohol based
disinfectant towelette or spray "Cleanaid" on a tissue with which you can
wipe the earmold or shell.
In addition, hearing aids or earmolds should not be casually placed in purses,
pockets, countertops, etc. After use, hearing aids and earmolds should be
properly cleaned and disinfected, and then stored in an appropriate case for
later use.

Simply wiping the hearing aid with a cloth or tissue is not enough to get rid
of the bacteria or germs. In addition, your hearing aids or earmolds are made
from special materials that require special cleaning. Alcohol pads should not
be used to clean hearing aid or earmold surfaces as it will ruin surfaces
relatively quickly. Your audiologists can provide you with products that are
designed to disinfect hearing aid surfaces.

About once per week you should wash the earmold.

Keeping moisture out of your hearing aid is the most important thing you can do to make
your hearing aid last longer and perform better.
Secure longer life and continuous efficiency for your personal hearing aids! Moisture is the
enemy of all hearing aids. Dampness, humidity and body moisture reduce their sensitivity,
shorten battery life and cause corrosion. Where moisture conditions are excessive, the
sensitive microphone and receiver may even become inoperative. Super absorbent formula
that is designed to remove moisture from Behind The Ear, custom ITE, canal and CIC
instruments. Utilizes molecular sieve pellets which are physically and chemically different from
silica gel crystals. Pellets turn color to let you know when they should be recharged for
maximum effectiveness. Pellets can be rejuvenated and used over and over again. Before
retiring for the evening... place hearing aid inside jar on top of foam pad and close cover
securely. Pellets start working immediately to remove harmful moisture from hearing aid.
Remove aid next day when ready to use.
